My art and its techniques
Mixed Media with oil
Mixed media with oil – Like a child in a wonderland of possibilities
With the decision in 2023 to finally live my art and give my dream space, I decided to train at the Milan Art Institute. Suddenly I had access to so much knowledge. Often uncertain and yet courageous, I acquired everything I needed. Most of my pictures are painted using this technique. They combine collages, structural elements, various materials such as acrylic, pastel, inks, gold and always oil paints. I love the variety of possibilities, the dimensions and the depth that result.

Aquarelle
Watercolor – water and pigment combine in a random and yet planned way
On my first 4-week trip to the Maldives at the end of 2020, I curiously began to explore this medium. Inspired by nature and the underwater world, I tried to record my impressions in a small ring binder in 14.8×21 format. My technique was simple, and it was a challenge. My senses were filled with the magic of the underwater world, which I was able to explore while diving and then experience again while painting.
My urge to become “better” made me discover this medium in depth, and I created many pictures, mainly with animals, in 30×40 format or larger. This resulted in a catalog, three exhibitions and wonderful commissions…

Charcoal
Charcoal – Somewhere between white and black
There is a special attraction in the minimal. Just a charcoal pencil, an eraser and your fingers – together they create expressive magic. As part of my training at the Milan Art Institute, I was able to learn how to use them. I was fascinated by the discovery of tonalities, sharp to soft, precise to free, exploring the paper with my fingers and exploring the nuances…

Abstract
Abstraction lives from color, feeling and imagination.
Everyone can discover something different and enter into an inner dialog. As I have worked a lot in figurative art in my life, I initially found the abstract a bit scary. But with painting, it became very open and free. I also really enjoy this opportunity.
